Our weekend package includes 2 or 3 nights in Maastricht. You can cycle the Tour version of the Amstel Gold Race on Saturday and you can enjoy watching the Pro Men and Women on Sunday. You get guaranteed participation in the Sportive and do not have to enter the draw. Sportive distances are: 60km, 100km, 125km, 150km plus the 240km full distance. Bike rental and airport transfers from Brussels are also available at a supplement.

Amstel Gold Race Sportive
The Amstel Gold Race Sportive takes place on Saturday 15th April, 2023. The Amstel Gold Race has been taking place in the southernmost province of the Netherlands Limburg every year since 1966. Every year ‘De Markt’ in Maastricht is the start venue of the Amstel Gold Race with the finish in nearby Berg en Terblijt (Valkenburg).
The Amstel Gold Race is the only Dutch classic in the Netherlands. The day before the professionals thousands of Sportive riders tackle memorable hills such as the Keutenberg; the Camerig, the Bemelerberg and the Cauberg as the finale.
Bike rental information?
We provide three different bike rental options for are customers on the Amstel Gold Race Sportive, from a top of the range Giant TCR Advanced carbon with Shimano Ultegra Di2 to a more affordable options such as Giant TCR Advanced carbon with Shimano mechanical Ultegra and Giant Contend SL 1 aluminium frame with Shimano.

Please make your own way to meet us in Maastricht. Maastricht is a 3hr30 drive from Calais if you are driving. Alternatively we provide one airport transfer from Brussels Airport (BRU) at 11.00 (£120 supplement applies). Private airport transfers available from Brussels (BRU). Contact us for details
Our staff will assist you with getting your bikes ready after travel and if you have ordered bike rental, these will also be available. This afternoon, enjoy a 80km coffee spin where we will see parts of the Amstel Gold Race.
Our ride will leave the hotel at 14.00 and along the way we will take in many climbs that are on the route of the Amstel Gold Race such as the Cauberg, Maasberg, Adsteeg, Lange Raarberg, Bergseweg and Sibbergrubbe. The distance is approximately 80km with 648 metres of climbing.
The evening is free for you to eat out.
Saturday 15 April 2023 : Amstel Gold Race Sportive
After an early breakfast, we will transport you and your bike to Valkenburg (1okm). We will have breakfast at the VIP pavilion. Here there’s secure bike parking and changing facilities.

- 06.30 – 09.00: Start 240km (orange arrows)
- 06.30 – 09.00: Start 200km (pink arrows)
- 07.00 – 11.00: Start 150km (red arrows)
- 07.00 – 11.00: Start 125km (yellow arrows)
- 07.00 – 11.00: Start 100km (blue arrows)
- 08.00 – 11.00: Start 65km (black arrows)
Anticipated programme
- From 07:00 breakfast is available in private start area in Valkenburg near the start
- 09:30-11:00 Start Amstel Gold Race Sportive
- 14:00-18:00 Pasta buffet in private area at the finish
VIP Parking area
For car drivers, we have parking tickets available that give access to the VIP parking area next to the start and finish in Valkenburg.
After the finish we will return to Maastricht. The evening is free for you to eat out.
Sunday 16 April 2023 : 2023 Amstel Gold Race
The starting line is in Maastricht and guarantees a lively atmosphere. After the riders have set off we will take the train to Valkenburg (10 minutes) where we will be in a great position to see several passages of the riders.

Monday 17 April 2023 : Departure day
After breakfast, please check out of the hotel. We offer one airport transfer back to Brussels Airport today at 09.00. Private transfers are available for other times by contacting us at hello@dev.sportivebreaks.com. Supplements apply for airport transfers.
