Tour Overview

BiCingles du Mont Ventoux

The 6 ways up Ventoux is for strong cyclists and endurance riders only. We leave Bedoin at 2am in the dark (lights are essential) with our vans lighting up the road. Our coach has chosen the optimal way to complete the challenge - ride the Bedoin side, then from Sault, then Malaucene. Then Sault again, Bedoin and finally Malaucence before descending home to Bedoin. We will have two vans supporting our riders (max group size is 20) and a permanent feed station at Chalet Reynard where you can grab your personal nutrition products and get changed half way through to freshen up. To repeat, this is not a challenge for most riders but if you are looking for a once in a lifetime challenge, this is for you.

    Routes & FAQs

    The Routes

There are three ways up Ventoux. The hardest is probably the famous way up from Bedoin with a long section in the woods around 10%. However, the climb from Malaucene is similar and not to be underestimated. The "easy" side from Sault is a long climb but with long sections of comfortable 5% gradients. Beware the short sharp climb into Sault to get your stamp!

    Ride Distance: 274

We leave Bedoin at 2am (sunrise is not for over 3 hours) with the support vans lighting up the road. We aim to summit before 4am and then descend together with a van ahead and behind the group. From here we ride more independently climbing from Sault and then Malaucene. We then ride the Sault side, Bedoin and finally Malaucene again before descending home to Bedoin, 274km after we started and hopefully before sunset at 9.30pm.
