Packing in the highlights of the Pyrenees in one long weekend. Starting in the spa town of Luchon, our first ride takes us into Spain and over some great local climbs. The next day is to one of the best secret climbs in Europe before a classic stage on day three over the Aspin and Tourmalet. Finish with a time trial up the other side of the Tourmalet and still get home in time for tea.
The giant of Provence is the focal point but there are other great rides from our base. Over the four rides we take in some of the best local routes and tackle Ventoux up all three sides, finishing with a time trial up the most famous route from Bedoin.
Italy’s most famous climb, the legendary Stelvio is tucked into a beautiful part of the Italian Alps close to other must ride climbs including the Gavia and the incredibly tough Mortirolo. We get to climb the Stelvio up two sides and there is a special night ride on the Thursday night.
Lake Como is not only a stunning holiday spot, it is also packed with amazing climbs and cycling routes. The most famous of all is the Ghisallo, a spiritual climb finishing at the Cyclists Church and the site of a museum dedicated to the sport. This long weekend takes you into Switzerland and over the hardest climb in Europe, the Muro di Sormano.
21 Hairpins & countless Tour de France memories. The time trial up Alpe d’Huez on Sunday morning is big, everyone remembers their time. 38 mins gets you a KOM, under an hour is quick, anything under 1hr30 is very respectable. There are some other amazing climbs in the area and our local guides will show us the best of them.
Winners will be announced on 20th April 2017.
